Goodbye Sonics!
Goodbye Sonics!
The news yesterday about the Seattle Supersonics leaving for OKC was not a shocker, I think most of were waiting
for the news, it was just a matter of time for the Sonics. Personally I don't care too much about them leaving. However,
they gave us 41 great and not so great years and that alone needs to be respected. So good luck to you Oklahoma City and
your newly acquired team, I have a feeling that you needed them more than Seattle did.

As I woke up this morning in a bit of a mood, i mean it is only Wednesday, what is there to be so cheery about?
Then I grabbed a cup of coffee and logged on to my computer. Luckily there was a video from YouTube awaiting
me from a friend. It was titled "Boom De Yada"... I've now watched it at least ten times.... it still makes me smile.
Now I have to go jump in the shower and get to work... so around 3 today when I am feeling stressed out or that
boss is the most insensitive jerk alive, I will click on this video and remember really how wonderful the world is.
Have a wonderful day.

A must see movie for everyone
A must see movie for everyone
I have to recommend a movie to everyone; the movie is called "Grace is Gone" starring John Cusak.
This movie is about the other side of war; the homefront. It is an honest and brave portrayal of a father trying to raise his two daughters while the mother is serving in Iraq. You never meet the mother, nor does the filmaker try to tell her story about what she is going through oversees. It never dumbs anything down or makes a stance for or against the war, it doesn't have to. There are some arguments between Cusak and his brother, but it's an unexpected take on two differing opinions about America and war. The movie tells a story, takes you on a journey through someone elses eyes.
With all that said, it is not an easy movie to watch. I finally broke down near the end of the movie in uncontrollable tears (maybe because I tried to hold them back throughout the movie). It's a side of war that never really gets talked about, which is a shame. So hopefully more movies/documentaries will be made with the stories of the war widows and the children that have lost a parent, but i'm sure "Transformers 2" will be big box office success.
